FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Mazda Connected Services is an advanced technology ecosystem offering customers the ability to remotely connect to their Mazda vehicle using a personal device via the MyMazda app mobile application. Enrollment is required to use Mazda Connected Services.

Yes. Your Mazda retailer can guide you through the enrollment process when you take delivery of your new Mazda or you can enroll at any time after delivery on your own. As part of this process, you will be required to agree to the Mazda Connected Services Terms & Conditions and Mazda Canada's Privacy Policy.

To enroll for Connected Services Remote features, you’ll need to sit in your vehicle, open the app, click Add vehicle, then scan and validate your car’s VIN. Keep reading for more detailed instructions:
1. Download and install the MyMazda app on your device.
2. Select Register and follow the prompts to set up your account. (as part of this process you will be asked to review Mazda Canada's Privacy Policy and Connected Services Terms & Conditions. You will need to agree to these two items to use connected services).
3. After account creation, select Add Vehicle.
4. Proceed to your vehicle, sit inside with the door open and scan the door jamb VIN or enter it manually and follow the prompts to add it to your account, give it a nickname and set your Preferred Dealer.
5. At the Success pop-up window, select Enroll.
6. At the Connected Services Enrolment screen, tap Start.
7. Turn your vehicle's ignition to on (IG ON) then select Next.
8. Select Request to receive an authorization code which will appear on the vehicle's centre display.
9. Enter the authorization code into MyMazda app on your mobile device and select Submit.
10. You will then receive a notification confirming successful enrollment and activation of Mazda Connected Services for your vehicle.

To add and enroll additional vehicles to your Mazda Connected Services account, follow these steps:
1. Tap the hamburger menu in the upper right-hand corner of the MyMazda app screen.
Tap My Vehicles.
Tap Enrol for the vehicle you’d like to enrol in Connected Services.
Follow the instructions on screen.

Enrollment is free and and no personal financial information is required at the time of enrollment.

Once the complimentary trial expires, access to complimentary Basic plan features will continue. To access Convenience plan features, a paid monthly subscription will be required.

Use the PROFILE section of MyMazda app to maintain your account.

MyMazda App is a mobile application developed by Mazda for Mazda vehicle owners. It provides a variety of features that enhance the ownership experience, allowing users to connect to their Mazda vehicles via their smartphones. Here are some key features of the MyMazda app:

1. **Vehicle Information & Status**: The app allows users to check important details about their Mazda vehicle, such as tire pressure, fuel levels, and battery status (for electric vehicles). You can also view service history and maintenance schedules.

2. **Remote Services**: The app can be used to remotely start/stop the vehicle engine, lock/unlock doors and locate the vehicle if you have forgotten where you parked.

3. **Service Scheduling & Alerts**: The app can notify users when their vehicle is due for maintenance, recalls, or any service updates. It also allows users to schedule service appointments with their local Mazda dealership.

4. **Owner’s Manual & Support**: The app gives access to the digital owner’s manual for the vehicle, providing detailed instructions and troubleshooting information. It also provides contact options for Mazda support.

5. **Recalls & Warranty Information**: Users can view any active recalls for their vehicle and check warranty information for repairs or service eligibility.

The MyMazda app is available for both Android and iOS devices where that device meets the minimum software requirement.

The MyMazda app requires:
iOS 15.5 or later. Compatible with iPhone.
Apple Smartwatch with OS 8.4 or later.
Any series of Apple smartwatch with screen size 40 mm or more is optimal.
Android 10 and up.
Not compatible with Android smartwatches.

Please perform these basic troubleshooting steps in the following order:
1. Close and restart MyMazda app.
2. Logout and log back in to the app.
3. Reboot your mobile device.
4. Ensure mobile device connectivity.
5. Uninstall and then reinstall MyMazda app.

If these steps do not resolve your concern, visit your preferred Mazda retailer.

Mazda Connected Services software updates are pushed directly to your vehicle. When this occurs, you will see a notification on your vehicle's display and you may be required to guide the update by following on-screen prompts. Your personal data plan is not used.

To disable Mazda Connected Services, you can unenroll and/or delete your vehicle in MyMazda app or call our Customer Assistance Centre at 1-800-263-4680.

Yes, connected services features are available on manual transmission vehicles. However, the remote engine start/stop feature is not available for vehicles equipped with this transmission type.

Model year 2021.5 to 2025 vehicles feature a trial period of  2-years (24 months) from the warranty start date (in-service date) of the vehicle.
Model year 2026 and future model year vehicles feature a trial period that is 1-year (12 months) from the warranty start date (in-service date) of the vehicle.

Once your trial period is over, Mazda Connected Services Basic plan features remain available for up to 10-years from the in-service date of your vehicle. To continue to use Convenience plan features like remote engine start/stop, you will be required to start a paid monthly subscription. Your subscription will renew monthly and can be cancelled at any time.

When your complimentary trial is 60 days from expiry, Mazda Canada will invite you to pre-book a paid subscription. Pre-booking ensures that your connected servivces Convenience features will continue uninterupted during the transition from the trial period.

Mazda Connected Services Basic plan features do not require a paid subscription upon trial expiry.

To start a Mazda Connected Sevices subscription, visit our dedicated subscription website and login using your MyMazda app credentials.

Only the Primary Driver (usually the vehicle owner), can start a paid subscription. If you wish to grant access to your vehicle's connected services to others, you can invite them to your account via MyMazda app.

Accepted methods of payment include debit card, major credit cards, Apple Pay and sufficiently funded pre-paid credit cards.

Yes by following this path:
MyMazda app home page -> ‘More Options’ menu (3 bars upper right corner) -> ‘MyMazda’ menu item -> ‘Mazda Connected Services’ -> ‘Mazda Connected Services’ button (bottom of screen) -> At the pop-up notification select ‘OK’.

As part of this process you will be automatically redirected to the Mazda Connected Services subscription site. Simply log in using your MyMazda app credentials and start the subscription payment process.

Subscriptions must be cancelled at the dedicated Mazda Connected Services subscrition website. As per the Terms & Conditions of service, it is your responsibility to cancel any active subscriptions.

Mazda Connected services paid subscriptions can be started and cancelled at any time at the dedicated subscription website. Where a subscrition is cancelled after a monthly renewal, you will continue to have access to connected services until the end of that monthly period.

When purchasing a connected Mazda vehicle privately, it is essential that you enroll in Mazda Connected Services to ensure the previous owner’s access is revoked. This step helps protect your personal information, prevents unauthorized access, ensures that all remote services, such as remote start or vehicle location are linked exclusively to you and gives you the ability set your own privacy preferences within the settings section of MyMazda app.

You will also need to contact Mazda Canada by calling our customer assistance center at 1-800-263-4680 to notify us of the change in vehicle ownership. the current owner.

When selling a connected Mazda vehicle, the seller should delete the vehicle from their account using MyMazda app and cancel any active Mazda Connected Services paid subscription to avoid incurring unnecessary charges at the dedicated subscription website.

If the subscription remains active after the sale, the seller may continue to be billed for services that are no longer being used.
