Our Sustainable Zoom-Zoom 2030 vision sets some challenging goals for us, as we transition into a fully carbon neutral company. This long-term vision for technology development rests on achievements like our new fully electric e-Skyactiv EV engine. Our engineering excellence and perseverance is leading us toward a future of cleaner cars, a healthier planet and a more prosperous world.
For everyone who loves cars and cherishes the freedom and pleasure of driving, Mazda is building a future in which people and cars can co-exist with a bountiful, beautiful earth. To meet the enormous challenge of climate change, Mazda takes a Lifecycle Assessment approach to reducing our impact – from energy sources to manufacturing to end-of-life recycling of vehicle components.
We’re committed to taking care of the Earth while maintaining the pleasure Mazda drivers experience when they get out on the road. In line with our sustainability objectives are next generation technologies like the MyMazda App, Mazda Connect, i-Activesense and the Mazda Co-Pilot Concept, which features an autonomous driving solution to augment our existing state-of-the-art safety technologies.
We began the process of standardizing i-Activsense advanced safety features, which help drivers recognize and assess potential hazards across all markets.
We will introduce 13 new electrified models between 2022 and 2025: 5 hybrid models, 5 plug-in hybrid models, and 3 EV models.
By 2030, 100% of Mazda products will be electrified and pure-electric vehicles will account for at least 25% of those. In addition, we will reduce corporate average "well-to-wheel" carbon dioxide emissions to 50% of 2010 levels by 2030, and achieve a 90% reduction by 2050.
